Sunrise 08/08/1970 - Sunset 03/29/2025

Sarina (Meaning princess) Lanier Mccray was born on August 8th, 1970 at Jackson Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of Mary Ransom and Darnell Ransom, and also the First born child of 12 Siblings. She attended/graduated from Holmes elementary school, Madison middle school, and Miami Northwestern Senior High. She also was a police Explorer in middle and high School With her longtime best friend/sister Clara EL-Amin. Sarina graduated from Brown Mackie College where she studied and earned her associates degree in criminal justice.

She is survived by her children, Paul Holliday, Jasmine Hepburn, Ashley Hepburn, Donna Washington and 3 beautiful granddaughters Cherish Jenkins, Riley Saunders and Promyse Knight. She was an incredibly strong woman, with a beautiful spirit, if you were having a bad day she knew how to make you smile in the sweetest way. She loved to sing all of her favorite songs and when she was in her element she was one of the funniest people you’d ever meet. She was someone who was very feisty at times and always spoke on how she felt. She was always on the side of resolving conflict and trying to make peace and loved to live in the moment, in fact she was indeed the moment.

She worked so hard to provide a great life for her children. One of her longest career jobs was with Miami-Dade County public schools as a bus driver. She loved this job the most because she had the opportunity to get kids to and from their destinations with care, ensuring they were safe. With many of the students she grew a close relationship. She became an advocate for parents who lost their children to gun violence, a member of the women's worker center and also served as the Treasurer of Northpark at Scott Carver.

She had a strong faith in God that stemmed from her mother who always taught and talked about how amazing God is. She attended Glendale Baptist church For her entire childhood and some of her adult life. She became a member Of New Shiloh Church as well and would read her word daily. Although she went through so much pain and suffering in her life she fought hard to live her best life to the fullest. May her soul rest in eternal peace with our heavenly father.
