It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victor Manuel Berdecia Cruz, a devoted son, cherished brother, godfather, and a source of immeasurable joy to all who knew him. Victor passed away on Dec. 26, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate to be part of his life.

Born on June 10, 1977, Victor was the beloved son of Ana Cruz. From the beginning, it was evident that Victor shared an extraordinary bond with his mother, Ana, who was his world. Their connection was a testament to the deep, unconditional love that can exist between a mother and her son.

Victor was humble and genuine, exhibiting contentment with what he possessed, eliminating any desire for more. He put his faith in God, knowing that God would see him through. He was a loyal and hard worker, and he never missed a day of work. He has left an imprint on our hearts and will forever be remembered as a loving, charismatic, and optimistic loved one. 

Victor lived most of his life in Miami Beach, and you could usually find him playing basketball at Flamingo Park. He loved basketball, hip-hop, and history. Victor enjoyed sharing his knowledge and passion with others. He admired Bruce Lee and would show everyone his one-inch punch video. Randomly, he would begin to sway his shoulders to a 2Pac beat while reciting verses with passion. Whether he knew you or passed you on the street, his smile was infectious, and you could not help but smile back. 

As we mourn the loss of Victor, let us also celebrate the life of this extraordinary person who taught us the value of hard work, the beauty of humility, and the importance of making a lasting impact on the lives of others. May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
